Blue Chip Basketball Academy SVG, established by Hope & Hope Inc. is a basketball academy located on the beautiful campus of St. Vincent Girls’ High School in Kingstown, St. Vincent & the Grenadines. Mr. Kishon Bishop is a Vincentian native who now resides in North Carolina; he is known as an incredible basketball leader/trainer in the Piedmont Triad area and is also the founder/director of Hope & Hope Inc. A current member of the St. Vincent & the Grenadines National Men’s basketball team, Mr. Bishop is now using his God-given talent and resources to bring hope to the youth of St. Vincent & the Grenadines via his Christian faith, sports and education.
As Hope & Hope Inc’s primary ministry on the island of St. Vincent & the Grenadines, BCBA SVG provides weekly, fundamental basketball training, as well as organized, competitive basketball programs and family friendly events for youth who are aspiring to become better players at all levels of competition. BCBA SVG’s primary goal is to reach/teach the WHOLE PERSON: Spiritual, Physical & Intellectual.
BCBA SVG has partnered with the St. Vincent Girls’ High, St. Martin Secondary and Thomas Sanders High School, by becoming the official sponsor of their basketball programs. These partnerships allow both parties to serve their purpose of creating well-rounded student-athletes.
Coach Kendale Thomas, a former member of the St. Vincent & the Grenadines National Men’s basketball team, has been appointed as Program Director and Head of Basketball Operations. Coach Thomas,
assisted by Coach Bernard Billy, Solan Fredrick, Rachael Haynes, Tim Myle (Head of Evangelism) and Ramon Johnson (Head of Academics) make up the staff members of BCBA SVG who assist with the daily delivery of our academy.
Currently, BCBA SVG has over sixty members; both male and female athletes who regularly attend weekly training sessions and participate in academy events and represent the academy in national tournaments.
In late July/August, the staff members of BCBA SVG will join forces with a mission team from North Carolina, to being restoration work on the Campden Park hard-court (#ProjectHardCourt) and host their annual summer basketball program (Camp Introspect.)
